To ensure your notarization is completed smoothly and without delay, please review the guidelines and policies below before we meet.
Appearance Requirements:
Each signer must physically appear, and be aware and willing to sign, at the notarial appointment.
ID Requirements:
Each signer must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID).
The name on the ID should reasonably match the name on the document.
Credible witnesses for verifying identity may be used only when legally permitted and arranged in advance.
Location Requirements:
The location of our appointment is your choice; however, please ensure that the meeting location is safe, legally permissible, and suitable for document review and signing.
For appointments at correctional facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, or other secure or restricted locations, please confirm access requirements in advance. If visitation approval, special authorization, or staff coordination is required, all necessary arrangements must be completed prior to the appointment to avoid delays or rescheduling. If arranging access or visitation falls to me, an additional coordination fee may apply and will be disclosed in advance.
Document Preparation:
Documents must be prepared and complete prior to notarization. Please ensure your document is ready to be signed, with all required information filled in before we meet.
Documents should either include a notarial certificate (notary block) within them, or if not included, you must specify what type of notarial act is required for the document.
Ensure all pages are included, even if the notary certificate appears on the last page.
If possible, send a copy of the document ahead of time so I can confirm it’s ready for notarization.
If you're adding on a print service, please send the document ahead of time so that I can bring the printed copy to the appointment.
Some notarizations require the signer to sign in the notary’s presence. If you are unsure, wait to sign the document until your appointment.
During the Appointment:
Please have your ID and document(s) ready at the scheduled time.
Each signer must provide their full name and address for the notary's records.
Payment:
All notarial fees are disclosed in advance and must be agreed to before the notarization is performed.
Payment is due and collected at the time of service.
I accept cash, credit card, and digital payment options (Venmo, CashApp, Paypal).
Cancellation & Late Policy:
I offer a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After that, a late arrival fee will apply.
If you do not arrive within 15-minutes of the scheduled appointment time, the appointment may be considered a no-show and cancelled.
If you are running late, please notify me as soon as possible so I can determine whether I’m able to wait, availability permitting.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible so I can adjust my mobile route.
Cancellations with less than one hour’s notice, as well as no-shows, may be subject to the applicable mobile travel fee, as time and travel have already been committed. An invoice will be sent via email.
Weather Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, during which road conditions may not be safe for travel, I reserve the right to cancel your appointment. I will provide notice, and offer a time to reschedule if desired.
Right to Refuse Policy:
In accordance with Kansas law, I reserve the right to refuse to perform a notarization if I am unable to properly identify the signer, if the signer appears unwilling, unaware, or under duress, if the document is incomplete or improper for notarization, or if the notarization would otherwise violate Kansas notary laws or regulations.
If service is refused, you will be notified, and no notarial fee will be charged; however, any applicable mobile travel fee, convenience, or coordination fees may still apply if time and travel have already been committed.
